Raised in Pennsylvania within the intersections of her father's Baltimore DJ sets, classic R&B radio, and the mythic storytelling of RPG universes, Bairi grew up understanding the parallels of her sonic influences — an integral dynamic of her storytelling and art direction today.
In 2016, Bairi moved to New York City, where she began refining her sound within the city's independent music scene, developing a cinematic approach built on layered harmonies, dramatic production, and sharp melodic instincts. As her profile grew, she began collaborating with artists including Chris Patrick, Deante' Hitchcock, and Ye Ali, alongside production from Justice League, MTech, and Johan Lenox.
Over the following years, she headlined venues such as Baby's All Right (NYC) and Aisle 5 (Atlanta), opened two stops on Ari Lennox's Shea Butter Baby Tour, and was named an Artist to Watch at SXSW. Her breakout single "Paraíso" surpassed one million streams and earned praise from Billboard, MTV, HotNewHipHop, and other editorial outlets.
